Facilities Manager

About the role

The Facilities Manager leads daily operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Medtronic's Ponce manufacturing site. The role ensures utilities, building infrastructure, contracted services, and projects meet FDA, GMP, ISO, EHS, and Medtronic standards while supporting uninterrupted production.

Key responsibilities

• Manage design, planning, construction, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and related facilities.
• Plan, budget, and schedule facility modifications, providing cost estimates for equipment, labor, and materials.
• Develop and enforce policies for the facilities department.
• Oversee space allocation, layout, communication services, and facility expansion.
• Establish and monitor health and safety standards.
• Select, develop, and evaluate personnel and contractor relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience in facilities management within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong project management and financial resource management abilities.
• Ability to build partnerships with internal customers and corporate stakeholders.
• Leadership skills to develop high‑performing teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS).
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS).
• Understanding of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Familiarity with maintenance operations, contract management, security, janitorial, and grounds services.
