Asistente de Técnico de Refrigeración

About the role

The Assistant Refrigeration Technician will support the senior technician in installing, maintaining, and repairing critical refrigeration and HVAC systems, with a primary focus on low‑temperature equipment used by pharmaceutical, hospital, biotech, and laboratory customers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in installing and removing refrigeration and air‑conditioning equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical failures.
• Detect and correct refrigerant leaks.
• Repair or replace components such as compressors, motors, thermostats, dryers, and valves.
• Carry out wiring and soldering work when required.
• Execute pressure, leak, and electrical tests.
• Complete weekly service reports.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or certification as a refrigeration and air‑conditioning helper.
• Interest in professional development within refrigeration and HVAC.
• Availability for on‑call duty approximately one week per month (24/7).
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, when needed.

Required skills

• Refrigeration & HVAC installation.
• Preventive maintenance.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Refrigerant leak detection and correction.
• Component repair/replacement (compressors, motors, thermostats, dryers, valves).
• Wiring and soldering.
• Pressure, leak, and electrical testing.
• Service report documentation.
