EHS Specialist

About the role

The EHS Specialist will lead the development and implementation of occupational health and safety programs for our electronic component manufacturing facilities. You will ensure a safe work environment by evaluating hazards, enforcing regulations, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Review, assess, and analyze workspaces to design programs that control chemical, physical, biological, and ergonomic risks.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce compliance with OSHA, PR OSHA, DTRH, EPA and other applicable regulations.
• Lead incident investigations, complete required OSHA‑PR documentation, and develop corrective action plans.
• Maintain facility safety equipment, manage SDS libraries, and oversee chemical handling procedures.
• Support the Quality Management System by facilitating audits, addressing non‑conformities, and training staff on safety standards.
• Create, implement, and manage Business Continuity Plans (BCP) for manufacturing operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or Administration.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in an electronic components manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, PR OSHA, and local labor regulations (DTRH).
• Proven experience in incident investigation and regulatory documentation.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) oral and written proficiency.
