Director, Legal Compliance, Anti-Corruption

About the role

The Director, Legal Compliance, Anti-Corruption will lead the implementation and strengthening of Mastercard’s anti‑corruption program for an acquired entity. Reporting to the VP Europe Regional Compliance Lead, the role works cross‑functionally to ensure compliance with policies, interim controls, and regulatory changes.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and operationalise the anti‑corruption compliance strategy for the acquired entity, identifying priority gaps.
• Build strong relationships with the acquired entity’s leadership to align with Mastercard’s compliance culture.
• Coordinate with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Finance, Marketing and People & Culture teams to embed anti‑corruption controls.
• Design, organise and deliver regional and local anti‑corruption training programmes.
• Provide advice on anti‑corruption matters, including conflict‑of‑interest issues.
• Monitor legislative changes with Legal and Government Affairs, recommending operational adjustments.
• Support M&A integration updates, reporting and risk‑based focus areas.

Required profile

• Seasoned leader with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work with all management levels and influence decision‑making.
• Excellent problem‑solving, business judgement and negotiation capabilities.
• Experience in compliance within a multinational public company.
