DevOps Engineer – Cloud Automation (Lisbon)

About the role

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join a major Portuguese retail and e‑commerce group. The role focuses on designing, implementing and maintaining high‑availability cloud solutions on AWS, supporting large‑scale digital platforms and working closely with cross‑functional engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise AWS infrastructure, including EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3 and IAM.
• Design, build and automate CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Implement monitoring, alerting and reliability improvements with CloudWatch and related observability tools.
• Collaborate with development squads to ensure environments are scalable, secure and resilient.
• Drive infrastructure‑as‑code initiatives using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Work with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and Linux‑based systems.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in DevOps, cloud or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tooling and IaC frameworks.
• Experience with containers, orchestration and Linux scripting.
