Datacenter & Telecommunications Technician

About the role

The Datacenter & Telecommunications Technician will support the operation and maintenance of datacenter and telecommunications infrastructure across multiple sites for an Inetum project in the telecom/energy sector.

Key responsibilities

• Perform operational and technical support activities in datacenter environments.
• Execute fibre optic installation, testing and certification using OTDR equipment.
• Manage incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution.
• Conduct technical site surveys and validate infrastructure installations.
• Maintain and update technical documentation and reports.
• Support structured cabling installations, both fibre and copper.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in datacenter, telecom or infrastructure environments.
• Hands‑on experience with fibre optics and OTDR testing.
• Knowledge of structured cabling, connectivity and Microsoft Visio.
• Ability to manage incidents, service requests and produce technical documentation.
• Valid driver’s licence and availability to travel between sites.
• Professional proficiency in Portuguese.
