Data Operations Lead – OpenData (Remote)

About the role

Veeva OpenData provides global reference data on healthcare professionals and organizations, covering addresses, specialties, compliance information, and more across 100+ countries. As the Data Operations Lead, you will be the operational backbone of our curation efforts, guiding a remote team of data curators to unlock the full potential of OpenData while maintaining strict compliance and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement Automation Strategy: Identify and deploy state‑of‑the‑art technology to make the team faster and smarter, collaborating closely with Product and Engineering.
• Achieve Data Excellence: Establish and own the gold standard for data, designing robust processes for tracking, assessing, and validating data quality at scale.
• Monitor & Optimize: Track KPIs, identify operational bottlenecks, and launch efficiency projects that tangibly improve performance.
• Servant Leader: Lead, mentor, and inspire a dynamic team of Data Curators, fostering a culture of proactivity and high performance.
• Risk Guardian: Proactively identify data risks and operational incidents, ensuring clear escalation and rapid resolution.

Required profile

• Data‑First Mindset with 3+ years of experience in fast‑paced environments (Tech, Startup, Consulting) handling complex data sets or data operations.
• Process Mastery: Strong experience in business process design and optimization, capable of structuring unstructured data workflows.
• Global Communicator: Excellent written and verbal English skills, able to collaborate effectively in a distributed, international setting.
• Proven Leadership: Experience mentoring junior team members, leading projects, or managing teams (3+ years preferred).
