Data Engineer

About the role

Dellent, a consulting firm specialized in information systems and telecommunications, is looking for a Data Engineer to join its team in Portugal. The position is hybrid, allowing you to work from Lisbon, Coimbra, Braga or Porto while collaborating on innovative projects that have a real impact.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain data pipelines that collect, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources.
• Develop and optimise ETL/ELT processes throughout the data lifecycle.
• Deploy data products and ensure they support efficient reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable data solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience building data pipelines and handling end‑to‑end data workflows.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (S3, Lambda, Glue) and services like Databricks or similar.
• Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with version control (GitHub).
• Understanding of the full data lifecycle, from ideation to production.
• Ability to write reusable, testable and scalable code; adherence to programming best practices is a plus.
