DevOps Engineer – Data & Machine Learning Platform

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to design, develop and operate the Unified Data Layer (UDL), a large‑scale data and machine‑learning platform for Bosch Research. You will work in a hybrid setting in Braga, collaborating with researchers, infrastructure teams and project managers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain the UDL platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices.
• Implement and provision cloud resources on Azure using Terraform, and drive CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Develop proof‑of‑concept integrations with corporate platforms and data catalogs, and onboard on‑prem equipment as data sources.
• Implement robust security controls, monitoring dashboards and alerts for platform reliability.
• Promote DevOps principles, lead their adoption and share knowledge across the team.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders and participate in code reviews.

Required profile

• BSc, MSc or PhD in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a DevOps, Cloud, Site Reliability or Platform Engineer.
• Proven experience designing, implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience with Azure.
• Fluent English (B2 level) with strong problem‑solving and teamwork skills.
