Data Engineer (French Speaker)

About the role

Natixis in Portugal is looking for a detail‑oriented Data Engineer who is fluent in French to join its BPCE SI (Solutions Informatiques) team. You will work on complex data sets, support business objectives, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams across the Group.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret large, complex data sets to generate actionable insights.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather data requirements and provide analytical support.
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines using SQL, Stambia and Oracle Exadata (or comparable tools) ensuring data quality.
• Assist in creating data models and structures for reporting and analytical purposes.
• Drive continuous improvement of data processes and support operational tasks (RUN).
• Handle functional incidents, contribute to system enhancements and technical developments.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in French and English.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in French (C1) and English (B2).

Required skills

• SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• ETL tools such as Stambia (or similar).
• Oracle Exadata (preferred).
• Google Cloud Platform (preferred).
• Power BI for data visualization (preferred).
