Data Engineer (French Speaker) – BPCE SI

About the role

Natixis in Portugal is looking for a detail‑oriented Data Engineer who is fluent in French to join its BPCE SI (Solutions Informatiques) team. The role supports the Group’s Corporate & Investment Banking and Asset & Wealth Management lines by delivering high‑quality data pipelines and analytical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse complex data sets and turn them into actionable insights.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather data requirements and provide analytical support.
• Design, develop and maintain ETL processes using SQL, Stambia and Oracle Exadata (or comparable tools).
• Assist in building data models and structures for reporting and analysis.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives and handle operational (RUN) tasks.
• Manage functional incidents and contribute to system enhancements.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in French and English.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Fluent French (C1) and good English (B2) communication skills.

Required skills

• Strong SQL proficiency for data extraction and manipulation.
• Experience with ETL tools such as Stambia.
• Knowledge of Oracle Exadata (or similar high‑performance databases).
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
• Ability to create visualisations and reports with Power BI.
