Data Engineer / ETL Developer (French Speaker) – Porto or Lisbon

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer / ETL Developer to support long‑term banking projects in Portugal. The position requires strong SQL and ETL expertise, fluency in French, and the ability to work in a collaborative, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑performance SQL scripts and PL/SQL procedures.
• Build, optimise and maintain ETL data flows using industry‑standard tools.
• Participate in database modelling, data architecture discussions and data‑warehousing design.
• Ensure data quality, consistency and reliability across large‑scale datasets.
• Optimise query performance and overall data processing efficiency.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams throughout testing, deployment and maintenance phases.

Required profile

• Approximately 7 years of experience in SQL/Data Engineering environments.
• Strong expertise in SQL development, query optimisation and tuning.
• Solid experience with ETL processes and Oracle databases.
• Proven ability to work with large enterprise data volumes.
• Analytical mindset, autonomy and strong problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent French (mandatory) and good English communication.
