Cybersecurity Specialist – Palmela, Portugal

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Palmela, Portugal. In this permanent position you will protect our digital infrastructure and sensitive data against evolving cyber threats while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain comprehensive cybersecurity strategies aligned with ISO 27001, NIST and other frameworks.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
• Monitor security incidents, respond promptly, and perform post‑incident investigations.
• Manage and configure security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems and SIEM platforms.
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Perform security audits and compliance assessments for regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to embed security best practices into system design.
• Provide security awareness training to staff and document incidents for audit purposes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cybersecurity roles with strong threat analysis and incident response skills.
• Solid understanding of network security, infrastructure protection and encryption protocols.
• Experience with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, PCI‑DSS or equivalent compliance standards.
