Cybersecurity Specialist – Hybrid (Portugal)

About the role

Amaris Consulting is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to join its team in Portugal on a hybrid basis. The role focuses on protecting the organization’s information systems and networks from evolving cyber threats while collaborating with IT and other departments in an international, agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain security policies, protocols and procedures.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Monitor network traffic, detect unusual activity and investigate security incidents.
• Deploy, configure and manage security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems and antivirus solutions.
• Respond to security incidents, perform post‑event analysis and recommend improvements.
• Work closely with IT, compliance and business units to embed security controls across projects.
• Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats and technologies.
• Deliver training and awareness sessions on security best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or a related field.
• Proven experience in a cybersecurity or information‑security role.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks, compliance requirements and best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Fluency in English; French is a plus.
