Corporate Lawyer – IT Contracts & Compliance

About the role

Volkswagen Financial Services (VWFS) is seeking a hands‑on Corporate Lawyer to join its Porto IT hub. You will support legal, compliance and regulatory matters across VWFS operations in Lisbon and Porto, focusing on contracts with IT service providers and end‑customers.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, revise and negotiate IT service provider and customer contracts.
• Identify, assess and mitigate legal and regulatory risks.
• Support VWFS on broader legal, compliance and regulatory issues.
• Establish and manage workflows between VWFS Porto, service providers and headquarters.
• Develop and implement GDPR requirements for the Porto site.

Required profile

• Law degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
• Minimum five years’ experience as a lawyer in an IT‑focused environment or law firm.
• Proven track record drafting and negotiating IT contracts.
• Experience with licensing, liability, IP rights, export control, data protection, IT security, and banking regulatory requirements.
• Strong compliance background.
• Advanced written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel to Porto.
