Corporate Audit Manager

About the role

Amgen’s Operational Corporate Audit team is looking for a Corporate Audit Manager to lead the day‑to‑day execution of risk‑based internal audits across operational functions. Based in Lisbon, you will work closely with senior audit leads to ensure audit quality and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily execution of assigned audits under the direction of a Senior Manager (Audit Lead).
• Perform risk and control assessments, conduct control testing, and identify issues following the Corporate Audit methodology.
• Prepare and maintain complete, accurate audit workpapers in the audit system (e.g., AuditBoard/Optro).
• Draft clear audit observations and analyses for senior review and support report preparation.
• Coordinate with process owners during risk assessment and fieldwork, communicating requirements, status, and timelines.
• Monitor audit progress, ensure milestones are met, and support corrective‑action validation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of audit methodology, templates, and execution processes.

Required profile

• Experience in internal audit or operational audit within a large organization.
• Strong understanding of risk‑based audit approaches and control testing.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
