Contract Negotiator - Sponsor Dedicated

About the role

IQVIA's Clinical Functional Service Partnership (CFSP) offers Contract Negotiators who work within a sponsor-dedicated team, partnering with investigative sites, sponsors, legal teams and other stakeholders to negotiate, prepare and execute site agreements and related legal documents. The role accelerates clinical trial start-up, resolves contractual issues and mitigates risk while meeting sponsor requirements and local regulations. It is based in Lisbon.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate clinical trial contracts with research sites so agreements are completed on time and meet quality and compliance requirements.
• Manage contract changes and additional agreements while balancing business needs and regulatory requirements.
• Support contract planning and study start-up for assigned sponsors, studies and programs.
• Help develop investigator grants, site budgets, contracting plans and proposal documents.
• Prepare and negotiate contract terms, payment schedules and budget templates according to project and sponsor needs.
• Work with sponsors, stakeholders and regional study start-up teams to meet project goals and timelines.
• Provide contract-related guidance to study teams on operational and financial matters.
• Gather and share contract and market information to support study planning and decisions.
• Monitor contract activities to ensure timelines, milestones and financial goals are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in clinical research contract management or a similar role.
• Familiarity with clinical trial processes, regulatory requirements and contract lifecycle management.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
