Consultant - Forensics & Anti-Money Laundering (AML)

About the role

EY Portugal is looking for a dynamic professional to join its Forensic & Integrity Services team as a Consultant specializing in Anti-Money Laundering (AML). You will work closely with audit teams, providing expert insight into financial crime risks and helping clients strengthen their compliance frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with audit teams to assess AML risks and deliver forensic support during audit engagements.
• Investigate potential money‑laundering, fraud and compliance breaches.
• Review financial data, transactions and documentation to identify suspicious patterns or anomalies.
• Assist in developing and implementing AML and compliance frameworks for clients.
• Prepare forensic reports and contribute to audit deliverables with analytical rigor.
• Engage with clients to understand their challenges and stay current with regulatory changes and emerging financial‑crime trends.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in the banking or financial services sector, focusing on AML or compliance.
• University degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Law or a related field.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English.
