Commissioning Engineer – Remote Option

About the role

As a Commissioning Engineer you will lead commissioning activities for sorting and distribution systems in the CEP industry, using TIA Portal and WinCC. The position offers the possibility to work fully remotely while travelling across Europe to support customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform commissioning of existing conveyor, sorting and distribution installations using TIA Portal (PLC/WinCC).
• Support hardware development for PLC migration projects (S5 → S7, PC → S7).
• Conduct root‑cause analyses and acceptance tests according to system‑specific and customer‑specific requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation and deliver training sessions for customers.

Required profile

• Degree in automation engineering, automation informatics or equivalent technical qualification.
• Initial experience in commissioning conveyor or sorting systems is preferred.
• Ability to quickly learn new topics in the CEP industry.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, fluent written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel more than 70% of the time across Europe.
