Cloud Security Specialist

About the role

Intrum is hiring a Cloud Security Specialist for its Group Information Security (GIS) team, based in Lisbon with a flexible location. The specialist monitors compliance with group information security policies, legal and regulatory requirements, contractual obligations and industry best practices, and inspects the efficiency and effectiveness of implemented security controls over time.

Key responsibilities

• Translate security requirements and best practices into technical solutions for business owners, technical owners and other stakeholders.
• Plan, run and manage continuous monitoring and inspection under the group's security monitoring program, tracking control deficiencies and corrective action plans.
• Advise stakeholders as an information security subject matter expert on IT and information security risks and mitigation.
• Cooperate with the group and local Risk and Compliance teams on operational risk monitoring and reporting.
• Educate stakeholders on their information security responsibilities and risks, and help show Intrum's security commitment to external auditors and clients.
• Support corrective action plans, risk identification and mitigation for financial institutions across geographies, and periodic compliance reporting to senior management.

Required profile

• 5+ years supporting security compliance programs, preferably in finance or tech.
• 5+ years of hands-on cloud security or technology roles (e.g. cloud architect, engineer or administrator).
• Demonstrable experience with data security frameworks such as ISO 27001/2, COBIT, CSF, PCI-DSS, GDPR, etc.
• Effective written and spoken English, and leadership experience across levels and locations.
• Experience assessing and designing internal controls for large organisations.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP or CCSP, or willingness to obtain them.

Required skills

• Broad understanding of security controls: access management, encryption, vulnerability management, network security, cloud and traditional infrastructure.
• Proficiency in workplace, server and network technologies.
