Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Europe

About the role

ACT Digital is seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer to shape and execute its technology strategy across Europe. Based in Lisbon or Madrid, the CTO will partner with country managers, sales, and delivery leaders to drive growth, innovate, and position the company as a trusted partner in software engineering, cloud, cybersecurity, data, and AI.

Key responsibilities

• Lead business development and pre‑sales activities, supporting strategic sales opportunities and shaping technology‑driven value propositions.
• Engage with C‑level clients (CIO, CTO, CISO) as a trusted advisor, translating business challenges into impactful technology solutions.
• Define and promote ACT Digital’s technology vision across Europe, identifying emerging trends and market opportunities.
• Drive innovation initiatives in software engineering, cloud, cybersecurity, data, and artificial intelligence.
• Develop and champion the company’s AI strategy, promoting generative AI, machine learning, data platforms, and automation use cases.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in technology leadership, consulting, software engineering, digital transformation, pre‑sales or technology services.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to work with executive stakeholders.
• Professional English required; Portuguese and/or Spanish also required.
• Business‑oriented, innovative mindset with a passion for emerging technologies.
