Chef Manager for International School Catering

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chef Manager to lead the catering operations of a mixed international school in Marinha Grande, Portugal. The role oversees daily food service for approximately 300 students and staff, ensuring high‑quality meals, snacks, and hospitality events from Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the catering team in the production and service of breakfast, lunch, and snack periods.
• Manage the financial budget, including monthly and annual profit & loss statements.
• Develop and maintain menu offerings that meet client expectations, dietary requirements, and market trends.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and company policies.
• Coordinate internal and external hospitality events and liaise with the operations manager.
• Motivate staff, set standards, and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior culinary or catering management role, preferably in an educational or institutional setting.
• Strong leadership and team‑building abilities.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite full‑time, Monday to Friday.
