Cash App Senior Accountant

About the role

The Cash App Senior Accountant ensures accurate recognition of all bank movements and supports the accounting books. This role involves daily monitoring, posting, and reconciliation of bank transactions while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control the daily bank posting process.
• Prepare and record daily bank entries by analysing bank statements and general‑ledger information.
• Execute monthly bank reconciliations and document month‑end evidences.
• Collaborate with other teams to obtain necessary information and produce reports based on bank accounting entries.
• Drive continuous improvement of bank posting and reconciliation processes.
• Provide training and support to accounting team members.
• Prepare and review intercompany cash‑flow positions at month‑end.
• Assist the Team Lead and perform ad‑hoc reporting tasks as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Fluent in English (mandatory) and Spanish (preferable).
• 4+ years of experience in accounting.
• Strong multitasking, planning, organization and detail‑orientation.
• Knowledge of accounting standards and principles.
• Pro‑active, trustworthy, and able to meet deadlines.
