Cash App Senior Accountant

About the role

The Cash App Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring that all bank movements are accurately recorded and supported in the accounting system. This role works closely with cross‑functional teams to maintain the integrity of cash‑related data and to drive continuous improvement in bank posting and reconciliation processes.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control daily bank posting processes.
• Prepare and record daily bank entries by analysing bank statements and general‑ledger information.
• Collaborate with other teams to obtain necessary data for accurate bank postings.
• Execute monthly bank reconciliations and document month‑end evidences.
• Provide reports based on bank accounting entries and support continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Train and support fellow accountants on cash‑application procedures.
• Prepare and review intercompany cash‑flow positions at month‑end.
• Assist the Team Lead and perform ad‑hoc reporting tasks as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Fluent in English (mandatory); Spanish is a plus.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on cash application and bank reconciliation.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and principles.
• Ability to multitask, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills.
• Pro‑active, detail‑oriented, and capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
