Business Development Specialist

About the role

The Business Development Specialist supports the Business Development Director in translating goals into effective marketing strategies for a mental health and substance‑use care facility. The role involves outreach, data analysis, and coordination of referral activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement marketing strategies and community‑relations activities targeting referral sources and specific audiences.
• Deliver educational presentations on mental health, mental illness, and chemical dependency to schools, agencies, and community groups.
• Collect and analyze data on competing inpatient and outpatient programs and prepare monthly/quarterly marketing and referral reports.
• Serve as the first point of contact for referral sources, providing admission status updates and coordinating alumni activities.
• Participate in health fairs, special events, and other promotional activities as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related health/social services preferred.
• At least one year of sales or marketing experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and access to a vehicle when required.
