Business Analyst – Custody & Tax (Hybrid, Lisbon)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our international IT team in Lisbon. The role focuses on supporting critical custody and securities services platforms, working closely with business stakeholders, development teams, and colleagues across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and validate functional requirements.
• Produce detailed functional specifications for system enhancements and projects.
• Provide functional expertise throughout the project lifecycle, including functional testing and user acceptance testing support.
• Participate in project delivery, releases, and system evolution initiatives.
• Manage and track change requests and identify process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with project standards, timelines, and reporting requirements.
• Conduct peer reviews and share knowledge within the team.
• Support complex business and system issues when required.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Management, Tax, Law or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the financial services industry.
• Strong experience in Custody Services and solid knowledge of Corporate Actions.
• Previous experience working as a Business Analyst.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work effectively in an international and multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with JIRA.
• Experience with Waterfall methodology.
