Biotech Production Operator

About the role

Lilly is seeking a Biotech Production Operator to support the manufacturing of biotechnological products. The role is critical to delivering life‑changing medicines safely and efficiently, working on a 24/7 rotating shift schedule in a GMP‑controlled environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform production tasks for biotech products, following SOPs, regulations, GMP, hygiene, health and safety standards.
• Take samples, monitor processes, handle materials, operate forklifts, change filters and document activities in electronic platforms.
• Manage and protect finished product until it is transferred to the warehouse or the next processing stage.
• Assist with shift changes, attend required trainings, and keep the work area clean and organized according to specific cleaning requirements.
• Handle and dispose of hazardous waste generated in the work area in compliance with safety procedures.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Science, Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least six months of experience as a biotech product operator in fermentation and/or isolation areas.
• Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operation.
• Strong orientation to regulatory compliance, good judgment and collaborative teamwork.
• Effective verbal and written communication in both Spanish and English.
