Benchwork Technician – Tooling Center

About the role

Yazaki is seeking a Benchwork Technician for its Tooling Center in Ovar. The role focuses on precision work with tools, molds and related equipment to support vehicle electrification projects.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate work with production‑related sectors.
• Execute and repair tools, molds and machine parts using hand and mechanical tools.
• Prepare mold structures and set up tools for trial runs.
• Provide assistance during tool trials.
• Perform first‑level maintenance according to established procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement of benchwork processes.

Required profile

• Secondary education with focus on Tool Design and Manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Injection Tooling technology.
• 5–8 years of experience in tolerance analysis.
