Bank Accounting Junior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join our Global Business Services (GBS) team in Lisbon. You will support the Bank Accounting process, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal and external standards.

Key responsibilities

• Upload bank statements, verify balances, and perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Allocate items to the appropriate accounts and maintain banking master data.
• Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and ensure IFRS compliance.
• Support internal and external audit processes and develop KPI reports.
• Identify and propose continuous‑improvement actions for the Bank Accounting process.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• Experience with administrative accounting tasks; bank accounting or treasury experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of internal controls and IFRS principles.
• Advanced English communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
