Backend Engineer – Java & Cloud Solutions

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to design, develop and maintain high‑performance Java services deployed on cloud platforms. You will work in a multidisciplinary team, applying best‑practice engineering standards to deliver secure, scalable and reliable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Implement continuous integration (CI) pipelines and automated testing strategies.
• Prepare and keep up‑to‑date development documentation.
• Ensure software meets security, scalability and performance requirements.
• Contribute to product design, technical architecture and implementation following CEiiA standards.
• Develop backend services using Java and cloud‑native technologies.

Required profile

• Degree or Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in object‑oriented languages such as Java and Go.
• Experience with JVM‑based frameworks and API design (REST, RPC, GraphQL).
• Strong knowledge of relational and non‑relational databases.
• Solid Git version‑control skills.
• Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS).
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, performant and scalable code using TDD, DDD and clean‑architecture principles.
• Experience designing unit and integration tests and working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Good spoken and written English.
