Software Engineer – Backend Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer specialized in backend development to help design and implement the core of an event‑driven architecture that will power innovative platforms and services. You will build scalable REST and GraphQL APIs and work on the integration of Apache Kafka‑based messaging with our micro‑service ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy RESTful and GraphQL APIs to enable communication between platform components.
• Architect and implement event‑driven workflows using Apache Kafka.
• Design, model and optimise relational and NoSQL databases for high performance and scalability.
• Write clean, maintainable, well‑documented code following best engineering practices.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver features on schedule.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional experience in backend engineering.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Fluent in English (or Portuguese).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Java and Go.
• Experience building REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Hands‑on experience with Apache Kafka and event‑driven architectures.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and database design.
• Familiarity with both relational and NoSQL databases.
