About the role
We are looking for a Backend API Developer to join a fast‑growing sports trading platform. You will design, build and maintain high‑performance backend services that handle real‑time sports data with millisecond precision.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and optimise Python‑based APIs for low‑latency data delivery.
- Design and maintain PostgreSQL schemas and queries for large‑scale data storage.
- Implement and monitor data pipelines that ingest and process live sports feeds.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to build distributed systems that ensure reliability and scalability.
- Contribute to code quality, testing, and documentation using Git.
Required profile
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to work autonomously.
- Comfortable in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment.
- Background in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or a related field.
- Passion for solving complex backend and distributed‑system challenges.
