Automation and Robotics Technician

About the role

The Automation and Robotics Technician will join Horse Technologies in Aveiro, Portugal, supporting the maintenance of electronic equipment across the factory floor. You will work closely with intervention teams to diagnose and resolve faults, ensuring continuous production uptime.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot electronic equipment within the manufacturing perimeter.
• Support intervention teams in fault analysis and provide technical guidance.
• Independently resolve faults within the assigned area of responsibility.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on vision systems, PLCs, CNCs, and robotic cells.

Required profile

• Degree in Automation Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field.
• Strong knowledge of vision systems (e.g., Sherlock, Cognex).
• Experience with Siemens PLCs and Siemens numerical controls from an electronic maintenance perspective.
• Familiarity with industrial robots such as ABB, Kuka, Fanuc, and UR.
• Willingness to work any shift and ability to perform under pressure.
• Team‑oriented mindset.
