Automated Logistical Specialist – Supply Chain

About the role

The Automated Logistical Specialist supports mission planning by managing supply‑chain functions for the Army National Guard. You will apply organizational skills to maintain equipment records, oversee inventory, and ensure efficient warehouse operations.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain stock lists, inventory records, and material‑control documentation.
• Operate and maintain the stock locator system and document‑control procedures.
• Process supply requests, turn‑in documents, and load‑list duties using manual and automated applications.
• Construct bins, shelving, and other storage aids.
• Standardize collection and use of maintenance data to improve accuracy of performance and parts information.
• Operate material‑handling equipment, including forklifts, to move and store supplies.

Required profile

• Must enlist in the Army National Guard.
• At least a junior in high school, a high‑school diploma, or GED.
• Age between 17 and 35.
• Pass a physical exam and meet legal, moral, and citizenship standards.
• Interest in mathematics, bookkeeping, accounting, business administration, or typing.
• Willingness to perform physical work and operate warehouse equipment.

Required skills

• Stock control and accounting procedures.
• Procedures for shipping, receiving, storing, and issuing stock.
• Movement, storage, and maintenance of ammunition, medical, and food supplies.
• Operation of material‑handling equipment and forklifts.
