Assistant Store Manager – Retail

About the role

We are opening a new Carhartt WIP store in Porto and are looking for an Assistant Store Manager to support the daily operations and help drive sales. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will ensure the store runs smoothly, meets its targets and delivers an excellent customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in managing the store’s daily activities and overall performance.
• Act as deputy in the Store Manager’s absence, maintaining continuity of operations.
• Implement company procedures and directives, ensuring compliance with brand standards.
• Drive sales plans and monitor performance against targets.
• Support the team with product knowledge to provide high‑level customer service.
• Mentor and give feedback to sales staff to achieve sales goals.
• Participate in recruitment, training and development of store personnel.
• Maintain store condition and visual merchandising according to Carhartt WIP standards.

Required profile

• Ability to supervise and motivate a retail team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team‑player attitude with strong customer‑service focus.
• Commercial awareness and a results‑driven mindset.
• Good IT proficiency.
• Fluent Portuguese and advanced English.
