About the role
The Pestana Viking Hotel in the Algarve region is looking for a motivated Assistant Head Waiter to support the restaurant and bar teams. You will play a key part in delivering high‑quality service and ensuring smooth daily operations.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and manage restaurant and bar operations, ensuring standards are met.
- Welcome guests, provide assistance, and address any service issues promptly.
- Maintain and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all service areas.
- Coordinate staff schedules and support the Head Waiter in training and performance monitoring.
Required profile
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Food & Beverage within the hospitality sector.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Flexible to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Guest‑oriented, quality‑focused and a strong team player.
