Android Developer (Portugal)

About the role

We are looking for an Android Engineer to create the native Android experience for BJAK’s AI‑powered neobank app. You will work on a fast‑growing fintech platform, turning complex financial flows into simple, reliable mobile experiences for real customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and ship native Android features for onboarding, accounts, cards, payments, transfers, rewards and AI‑assisted journeys.
• Collaborate with product, design, backend and AI teams to take features from concept to production.
• Own app quality, including performance, crash rates, loading states, edge‑case handling and release stability.
• Use production feedback, analytics and user behaviour to iterate and improve features after launch.
• Integrate APIs, authentication mechanisms and secure data handling for financial workflows.

Required profile

• Strong native Android experience using Kotlin and a track record of shipping apps used by real users.
• Deep understanding of Android architecture, Jetpack, Coroutines and Flow.
• Product‑oriented mindset with a focus on user experience, performance and reliability.
• Ability to debug production issues and work effectively in an ambiguous, fast‑paced environment.
