AI Legal Specialist (Junior/Mid) – Remote

About the role

EverAI is seeking a motivated AI Legal Specialist to join its Compliance team. Working remotely from Portugal, you will support the legal and safety lead in navigating the complex regulatory landscape that surrounds AI‑driven e‑commerce platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with global AI and e‑commerce laws, including GDPR, consumer‑rights and safety regulations.
• Draft, review and maintain data‑protection documentation such as DPAs, TIAs and internal policies.
• Maintain EverAI’s AI systems inventory in line with EU guidance and conduct risk assessments.
• Perform product and feature reviews for legal compliance, consumer‑rights and data‑privacy considerations.
• Handle day‑to‑day compliance tasks such as IP issues (DMCA notices), contract reviews (NDAs, licensing agreements) and other legal requests.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed legal safeguards into product development.

Required profile

• Law degree or equivalent legal background with interest in technology and AI.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work independently in a fast‑moving environment.
• Willingness to learn across a broad range of compliance topics, from data protection to consumer rights.
• Excellent written communication skills in English.
