About the role

Smartcat is building the future of work by combining generative AI with human‑in‑the‑loop workflows. As an AI‑first QA Engineer you will enhance product quality, develop automated tests, and help evolve QA practices across the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test suites and QA tools.
• Analyze the current QA approach, identify gaps, and deliver a structured improvement plan.
• Define and lead automation strategy based on risk and scalability.
• Keep automation frameworks up‑to‑date, maintainable, and aligned with product changes.
• Mentor team members and spread QA expertise.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed quality early in development.
• Participate in code reviews and QA‑related discussions.
• Act as a quality advocate, contributing to development processes and continuous improvement.
