Accounting Technician – IFRS & Local GAAP

About the role
We are seeking an Accounting Technician to join our Shared Services Centre in Lisbon. The role will support the accounting and statutory reporting of Sonae Sierra’s group companies and third‑party shopping centre owners, ensuring compliance with IFRS and Portuguese GAAP.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and post invoices, accruals, deferrals and other journal entries.
- Execute monthly closing procedures for group entities and third‑party accounts.
- Analyse trial balances and perform account reconciliations.
- Compile the consolidation “package” and assist in the preparation of annual statutory accounts and the IES filing.
- Ensure accurate accounting under IFRS with proper reflection in local GAAP.
Required profile
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or Management.
- 3‑5 years of experience in accounting or audit.
- Fluent in English and Portuguese.
- Strong analytical thinking and high level of accuracy.
Required skills
- Advanced Excel.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of SAP (preferred).
