Accounting Controller – Financial Consolidation (French)

About the role

We are seeking an Accounting Controller specialized in financial consolidation and IFRS reporting, with a focus on French entities. Based in Porto, you will support the quarterly IFRS closing process, ensure data quality, and collaborate with finance, accounting and consolidation teams across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in quarterly IFRS closing activities for French entities.
• Perform second‑level reviews of financial reporting appendices.
• Conduct analytical reviews of consolidated reporting packages.
• Review financial assets in line with IFRS 13 (Fair Value Measurement).
• Support data‑quality management and issue resolution within the shared reporting platform.
• Identify and implement process improvements during inter‑closing periods.
• Contribute to the automation and optimisation of reporting and consolidation activities.
• Prepare analyses and reports for the Head of Consolidation.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies and IFRS requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, audit, financial reporting or consolidation.
• Hands‑on experience with financial consolidation (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS standards and financial reporting principles.
• Fluency in English and French (at least intermediate).
• Advanced Excel skills and interest in automation/reporting tools.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Current residence in Porto.
