Accounting Clerk – Finance Support

About the role

The Accounting Clerk provides essential accounting support to the Accounting Manager, ensuring daily financial worksheets are accurately posted to the general ledger and handling a range of accounts payable and receivable tasks. This role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity of financial records and supporting the month‑end close process.

Key responsibilities

• Open and sort finance mail, voucher incoming invoices, and distribute vouchers for departmental and managerial approval.
• Prepare checks for signing and manage mailing of financial documents, maintaining proper filing per departmental guidelines.
• Prepare and file weekly client invoices, keeping the accounts‑receivable subsidiary up to date.
• Process bank deposits, perform banking trips, and record all associate finance entries.
• Maintain subsidiary ledgers, update customer files, and ensure backup paperwork is available for auditors.
• Assist in preparing audit sampling packages for internal and external audits.
• Support monthly close procedures and undertake additional finance projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Accounts/Finance) or an associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years of accounting experience with solid knowledge of accounts‑receivable policies and the full accounting cycle.
• Familiarity with local tax regulations and advertising invoice processing.
• Strong communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Leadership abilities, team‑oriented mindset, and excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive financial information with integrity.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows operating system.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel.
• Competence in Microsoft Word.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook.
