Accountant – Financial Markets

About the role

Quanteam is seeking an Accountant specialized in Financial Markets to join its Lisbon team. You will support the accounting function for market‑related products, ensuring accurate daily reconciliations and compliance with IFRS standards.

Key responsibilities

• Control and monitor daily reconciliations between back‑office management systems and the accounting database.
• Oversee accounting production, process CRE and CRS rejections, and resolve related issues.
• Reconcile suspense and deferred accounts, creating manual entries when necessary.
• Maintain the chart of accounts and perform accounting testing for new products and scheme modifications.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within banking.
• Knowledge of market products, associated IFRS standards, and banking accounting.
• Fluency in English (C1); French is a plus.

Required skills

• Excel (basic to intermediate).
• Familiarity with back‑office applications such as SUMMIT, SOPHIS, and MUREX.
• Understanding of IFRS accounting standards.
