Accountant – AI Training Content Specialist (Remote Contractor)

About the role

This is an hourly, remote contractor position where you will act as an Accounting Subject Matter Expert (SME) for an AI data‑services company. You will review AI‑generated accounting responses, create high‑quality accounting content, and provide detailed feedback to improve model performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI training content such as prompts, gold‑standard journal entries, explanations, checklists, and reconciliation logic.
• Evaluate and rank AI responses for accuracy, clarity, completeness, and compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
• Test AI outputs for errors, misleading guidance, unsafe assumptions, and bias.
• Write clear, structured explanations and model solutions that demonstrate correct accounting methods.
• Rate and compare multiple AI responses based on correctness and reasoning quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or CMA is a strong plus.
• 5+ years of professional accounting experience (public accounting, industry, shared services, or advisory).
• Deep knowledge of revenue/expense recognition, accruals, prepaid/deferred items, fixed assets, inventory, payroll basics, and tax concepts.
• Proven ability to prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month‑end close deliverables.
• Strong understanding of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and internal‑control concepts.
• Minimum C1 English proficiency with excellent written communication skills.
