2nd Engineer – Reefer Vessel (2‑month contract)

About the role
We are seeking a qualified 2nd Engineer to join a reefer vessel operating under the Italian flag. The position is a full‑time, fixed‑term role based out of Setúbal, with a contract of approximately two months.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Chief Engineer in the operation and maintenance of the main engine and auxiliary machinery.
- Monitor and control the performance of the Sulzer engine (17,760 kW) and related systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory standards on board.
- Participate in routine inspections, repairs and emergency response procedures.
Required profile
- Minimum 12 months of sea‑time experience as a 2nd Engineer or equivalent on similar vessels.
- Valid STCW certificates and a current medical certificate.
- Proficient command of English for daily operations.
Required skills
- Experience with Sulzer marine engines.
- STCW certification.
