Youth Mentor – $100,000/year

About the role

Alpha School is seeking a dedicated Youth Mentor to guide K‑8 students through its innovative 2‑Hour Learning framework. You will work on‑site in Dorado, helping children achieve complete mastery of academic content and essential life skills.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor adaptive learning dashboards and Coachbot data to identify individual learning obstacles.
• Provide one‑on‑one motivation and support, helping students overcome specific challenges in subjects such as fractions or reading.
• Facilitate hour‑long experiential workshops on public speaking, concentration, collaboration, and constructive feedback.
• Administer Test2Pass mastery evaluations and ensure students only progress after demonstrating true comprehension.
• Build trusting relationships so rigorous accountability feels encouraging.

Required profile

• Passion for high standards and belief in every child’s potential.
• Comfort with data‑driven coaching and performance‑based feedback.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Willingness to work full‑time on‑site (40 hours/week).
