Wind Turbine Mould Heating System & Troubleshooting Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Wind Turbine Mould Heating System & Troubleshooting Technician to support blade manufacturing at Next Composite in Aveiro, Portugal. The role involves operating, maintaining and troubleshooting mould heating equipment used in the curing and composite processing of wind turbine blades.

Key responsibilities

• Operate mould heating systems, monitor temperature profiles and ensure proper heat distribution during production.
• Verify system functionality before each production run and perform preventive maintenance.
• Install heating blankets, elements, sensors, thermocouples and control units.
• Inspect and repair electrical wiring, connectors, junction boxes and control panels.
• Replace damaged heating components and temperature control devices.
• Maintain accurate documentation and maintenance records.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot heating system failures and temperature deviations.
• Travel to multiple sites in Europe as required to support projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience with mould heating systems in composite or wind‑turbine blade manufacturing.
• Strong technical aptitude for electrical and control‑system maintenance.
• Flexibility to travel and work on‑site across different locations.
• Commitment to safety, quality and reliable execution.
