Warehouse Assistant (Auxiliar de Almacén)

About the role

The Warehouse Assistant supports daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining safety and organization standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and verify incoming shipments, record them in the warehouse management system, and report any discrepancies.
• Classify, label, and store items in their proper locations, keeping the storage area tidy.
• Prepare and pack orders for shipment or internal distribution, confirming order accuracy.
• Coordinate with transport personnel for timely delivery of goods.
• Participate in periodic and cyclic inventory counts, updating inventory records.
• Operate and maintain warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and barcode scanners, reporting any faults.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies to prevent accidents and protect merchandise.

Required profile

• High school diploma (fourth‑year diploma) or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, solar or construction environments.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety procedures and FIFO inventory methods.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Proactive attitude, problem‑solving ability, effective communication and adaptability.

Required skills

• Forklift operation (certified).
• Pallet jack handling.
• Barcode scanner usage.
• Warehouse Management System (WMS) data entry.
• FIFO inventory methodology.
• Understanding of occupational health and safety protocols.
