Transportation Operations Manager

About the role

The Transportation Operations Manager will lead transportation functions for Innovative Medicine manufacturing at Johnson & Johnson’s Gurabo site. This role is responsible for establishing governance, compliance and operational excellence across the North America Make network, ensuring reliable and cost‑effective movement of goods.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the transportation business leader for IM Make operations, defining ownership, governance and accountability across manufacturing and supplier networks.
• Lead the implementation of a centralized transportation operating model, covering planning, execution, carrier strategy, issue resolution, visibility and performance management.
• Collaborate with manufacturing sites, Planning, Procurement, Quality, Global Trade Controls and transportation providers to guarantee compliant and reliable transportation execution.
• Support lane mapping and transportation risk management initiatives.
• Drive cost‑improvement projects and integrate control‑tower capabilities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in transportation or logistics management within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of transportation governance, compliance and performance metrics.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with Planning, Procurement, Quality, Trade Compliance, Finance and Logistics teams.
• Leadership skills to influence carriers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
