Test Systems Engineer – Quality Labs

About the role

As a Test Systems Engineer in the Quality Labs team, you will ensure the stability, standardisation and continuous improvement of laboratory test systems used across automotive projects. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to develop, maintain and optimise software that supports product quality from prototype to series production.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop software for laboratory test systems in an automotive environment.
• Analyse and improve the performance and reliability of test systems.
• Manage version control and lifecycle of test software releases.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define and implement software changes.
• Support testing activities during prototype and series production phases.
• Evaluate the impact of software updates and ensure smooth integration.
• Monitor project performance and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Create and maintain documentation for test system releases.

Required profile

• Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or a comparable field, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Experience in software and/or hardware development; automotive experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with test systems or validation environments is advantageous.
• Understanding of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN and Ethernet.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Structured, solution‑oriented approach and comfort working in cross‑functional teams.
